The Northwest Arkansas Mom's Demand Action group joined a nationwide protest today against gun violence. Melissa Carter lives in Bentonville and wanted to help spread awareness. Load Error 'Every day sending my kids to school is terrifying," Carter said. "You're afraid every day for their lives.' Carter has three kids, one in fourth grade, one in first grade, and one in preschool. 'Our children are suffering," Carter said. "It doesn't have to be this way and so I wanted to come out here and do my part.
